Cardinal of Minnesota Ltd. is seeking a Human Resources Director responsible for overseeing key HR functions including; recruitment, interviewing, workplace safety, and benefits administration. Human Resources Director responsibilities:

  • Oversees the recruitment and selection process of internal and external workforce members. Responsible for recruiting leadership and professional positions.
  • Develops and administers various human resources plans for all company personnel.
  • Plans, organizes and controls all activities of the department. Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems.
  • Oversees the administration of Workers' Compensation programs, FMLA and other leaves of absence, benefits management, etc.
  • Develops, recommends and implements personnel policies and procedures.
  • Works closely with COO on organizational strategy and department goals.
  • Supervises the HR Department: HR Generalist and Recruiter.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation. These include but are not limited to EEO reporting, OSHA and DOL regulations, etc.
  • Unemployment claims
  • Acts as adviser to leadership team in all human capital related matters
  • Conducts investigations and supports managers with employee relations
  • Provides training for supervisors on HR best practices
  • Creates, analyzes and presents HR data.
  • Member of the Senior Leader Team.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Preferred candidates will have a minimum of 5 years of HR experience managing same or similar responsibilities.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Power Point and Excel.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred educational requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development Business Administration or Business.
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
